The India Mutual Divorce Petition Form is used when both The Husband and The Wife are in mutual consent for ending their marriage and filing for Divorce.
Mutual divorce means that both parties agree to the filing of the Divorce and will not oppose it. It is a joint petition in which both The Husband and The Wife states the basic facts of the marriage like the date when the marriage took place, the date since when and if the Husband and Wife are living separately.
A basic reasoning as to why the parties aren’t living together like differences or any other matter, You don’t have to give a detailed account of any of the reasons but just a mention will do. You don’t need to disclose any of the personal facts.
Alimony isn’t granted by the court when the divorce is made by mutual consent as both the husband and the wife have decided to end the marriage and both mutually agree to the divorce.
Both the husband and wife have to sign the petition in front of a court and get a six months later date, on which date the court will decide on the Divorce.
